Dora-Linda Wang, MD, MA, is a skilled psychiatrist who provides compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. She has over 30 years of experience with medications and psychotherapy. Highly regarded by patients and peers, she was given a Distinguished Alumni Service Award by the Yale School of Medicine, and has twice been elected as President of the American Psychiatric Association Caucus of Asian American Psychiatrists. She offers virtual consultations. Born in Brazil, and raised in the United States, she is fluent in English, and speaks limited Mandarin and Spanish.
After earning her MD from the Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Wang completed her psychiatry residency at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute where she was Chief Resident of the OCD Treatment Program in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic. She received supervisory training from three psychoanalysts. She has taught evidence-based brief psychotherapies for over a decade. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Wang is an active participant in the arts, and believes in each individual's uniqueness. She earned an MA in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, and serves on the jury of the California Book Award. She is the author of two books, including "The Kitchen Shrink: A Psychiatrist's Reflections on Healing in a Changing World" (Riverhead Penguin Random House).

Very quick and helpful. It was my first time ever doing one of these sessions and they were so kind to help me on the path I deserve to treat myself on.
Self healing is hard and that includes hearing hard things about yourself but things will get better.

Dr. Wang is a good listener, asked good questions, and is very sympathetic. Her recommendations are reasonable and I liked that she is conservative about the use of medication. Would recommend to anyone that is dealing with mental health issues.
