I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 15 years of experience in nursing and psychiatric care. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals across the lifespan, supporting their mental health needs and helping them navigate conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders.
My clinical background includes working as a Registered Nurse in a dual-diagnosis inpatient psychiatric unit, as well as providing care in outpatient private practice settings. I specialize in psychiatric medication management and take a personalized, patient-centered approach to treatment, recognizing that each individual's mental health journey is unique.
As a provider at Emerge Wellness Center LLC, I am committed to creating a supportive and welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and involved in their care. My goal is to help individuals achieve improved mental health and overall well-being through compassionate care and evidence-based treatment.
What should a new client know about working with you?
When working with me, patients can expect a collaborative, supportive, and individualized approach to mental health care. During our initial appointment, we will discuss your concerns, explore your treatment history, and establish realistic, measurable goals that support improved daily functioning and overall well-being. Follow-up appointments will focus on monitoring progress, evaluating treatment effectiveness, and making adjustments to your care plan when needed. I believe in open communication and involving patients in decisions about their treatment. My goal is to create a comfortable, respectful environment where you feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout your mental health journey. Appointments are available through telehealth for convenient access to care.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My process begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, typically lasting about one hour, to understand each patient's mental health concerns, medical and treatment history, and individual needs. Following the evaluation, I discuss appropriate treatment options, including the potential benefits and risks of each approach, to help patients make informed decisions about their care. I believe in a collaborative approach where patients are actively involved in developing their treatment plans. Together, we determine the most suitable course of treatment and establish goals to support their mental health and overall well-being. Follow-up appointments allow us to monitor progress, assess treatment effectiveness, and make adjustments when necessary.
