As a dual board- certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I recognize the important connection between physical and mental health. What is your typical process for working with clients?
During your first visit, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing your concerns, symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and treatment goals. I believe that understanding the whole person -not just the diagnosis- is essential to providing effective, individualized care.
Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, education, and lifestyle recommendations when appropriate. I believe in shared- decision making, so you'll always have the opportunity to ask questions and be actively involved in your care.
Follow up appointments focus on monitoring your progress, evaluating how you're responding to treatment, making adjustments, when needed, and ensuring you continue moving toward your goals. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care while building a trusting, long-term therapeutic relationship where you feel supported every step of the way.

I would like to take a moment to sincerely recognize Dorothy for the exceptional care and attention she gave me during our video consultation.
Over the past 20 years, I have dealt with many doctors and nurse practitioners, and I can honestly say that Dorothy stands out among the very best. Our consultation lasted nearly two hours, and throughout that time, she was thorough, thoughtful, professional, and genuinely interested in understanding my overall health.
She asked an enormous number of well-thought-out questions, listened carefully to my answers, and took the time to provide recommendations that were clearly based on a comprehensive understanding of my situation. I never felt rushed or as though I was simply another appointment on a schedule.
What impressed me most was that she genuinely cared. Unfortunately, that level of personal attention can feel increasingly rare in healthcare today, where appointments often seem rushed and patients can feel like they are being rushed
