“We are beyond grateful for the care my 11-year-old daughter has received. Her psychiatric nurse practitioner has taken the time to really listen, understand her needs, and carefully work with us to find the medication that works best for her. It truly has been life-changing for our daughter and for our family. She is able to stay more focused throughout the school day, regulate her emotions so much better, and simply feels more like herself. We have seen such a huge difference at school, socially with her friends, and at home. Finding the right medication and having someone who is so thoughtful and attentive in managing it has helped her immensely. We feel incredibly thankful to have found someone we trust so much with her care.”

What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you feel heard, respected, and involved in your care. My approach is collaborative and evidence-based, taking the time to understand your unique experiences, goals and concerns before developing an individualized treatment plan. As a dual board- certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I recognize the important connection between physical and mental health. Whether you're seeking help for ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, bipolar or other mental health concerns, my goal is to provide compassionate care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During your first visit, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing your concerns, symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and treatment goals. I believe that understanding the whole person -not just the diagnosis- is essential to providing effective, individualized care. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, education, and lifestyle recommendations when appropriate. I believe in shared- decision making, so you'll always have the opportunity to ask questions and be actively involved in your care. Follow up appointments focus on monitoring your progress, evaluating how you're responding to treatment, making adjustments, when needed, and ensuring you continue moving toward your goals. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care while building a trusting, long-term therapeutic relationship where you feel supported every step of the way.

I have struggled with anxiety and ADHD for most of my life and wasn’t diagnosed until my twenties. After more than 25 years of trying to find the right treatment, I finally found Dorothy, and the difference she has made in my life has been incredible. Dorothy truly listened to me, took the time to understand what I was experiencing, and helped me find a treatment plan that actually works for me. I feel 100% better, and it has honestly been life-changing. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, easy to talk to, and has been an amazing resource in helping me understand my diagnoses and determine the best path forward. I cannot thank Dorothy enough for the care and support she has given me. I am so grateful I found her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a provider who genuinely listens and works with you to find the right treatment.

I would like to take a moment to sincerely recognize Dorothy for the exceptional care and attention she gave me during our video consultation. Over the past 20 years, I have dealt with many doctors and nurse practitioners, and I can honestly say that Dorothy stands out among the very best. Our consultation lasted nearly two hours, and throughout that time, she was thorough, thoughtful, professional, and genuinely interested in understanding my overall health. She asked an enormous number of well-thought-out questions, listened carefully to my answers, and took the time to provide recommendations that were clearly based on a comprehensive understanding of my situation. I never felt rushed or as though I was simply another appointment on a schedule. What impressed me most was that she genuinely cared. Unfortunately, that level of personal attention can feel increasingly rare in healthcare today, where appointments often seem rushed and patients can feel like they are being rushed
