About Dr. Douglas Halliday

Douglas Halliday, MD, Ph.D. graduated from medical school in 1979 from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. He graduated from SUNY with honors where he received both his MD and Ph.D. After medical school, Dr. Halliday interned at Internal Medicine of Albany Medical Center and at Upstate Medical Center. He performed his residency, and then later became chief resident, also at Upstate Medical Center. Dr. Halliday is board certified by The American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Under this board he is also board certified and has specialized in facial plastic surgery including aging face and facelift surgery, neck tightening, eyelid surgery, brow surgery, facial liposuction, and skin care and skin cancer. He has a special interest in nasal reconstructive surgery including septoplasty and rhinoplasty. Dr. Halliday is passionate about helping others in our community and provides support and support for disadvantaged patients and battered spouses in conjunction with our local shelter, Vera House. As a result, from those efforts, he was named in 2008, Honorary Chair for Vera House. He is still involved with helping prospective medical students from Upstate New York. For recreation and fun, Dr. Halliday enjoys the great outdoors and sports, aviation, and tri-athalons. He is also enjoying his growing family with his wife, three sons, and two daughter in laws, and three cats.
