He attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency training at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. He has worked in the same private practice in Briarcliff Manor since 2004, and that practice joined what is now called CareMount Medical Group in 2009. Doug always tries to align his clinical practice philosophies with the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines and principles of evidence-based medicine, and, in general, puts his trust in the natural healing abilities of the human body. He has received commendation for his work for over a decade as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College, and has been designated as a top doctor by numerous patient advocacy and consumer groups. Doug's wife is a working mom (she is an actress) and he has four sons that range in age from adolescence to adulthood - he hasn\'t been rattled by a screaming child in over 15 years, thanks to his home experience. Over the course of his practice, his greatest satisfaction as a pediatrician has been building familiar relationships with his patients and their families, which he believes helps provide them with better care - while bringing him the day-to-day joy and meaning of connecting with others.
