About Dr. Douglas Szeto
Dr. Douglas Szeto is a board-certified Family Medicine physician. He earned his Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of Houston in 2000, followed by his Doctor of Medicine degree at The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio in 2005.
He completed his Family Medicine residency in 2009 at McAllen Family Medicine Residency in McAllen.
Dr. Szeto previously cared for Kelsey-Seybold patients from 2010 to 2020. He rejoined Kelsey-Seybold in June 2021.

Dr Szeto was great. He took time to listen to me and we were able to make a plan together moving forward. I highly recommend him if you need a good primary care physician.

The doc was great the nurse was great but when I walked into the lobby, I waited about 20 minutes before I was ACKNOWLEDGED. I don't mind waiting 30 minutes, but at least ask me HELLO SIR ARE YOU OK/NEED HELP/HOW CAN WE HELP. I could clearly overhear how "she was so ready to go home and [she] should have gotten off 20 minutes ago" but I feel that these types of comments, especially in a doctors office, make the whole branch look bad-- people have their livelihood in the balance and I feel that maybe she was just having a bad day. I still give the doc and the nurses all 11 stars as they were very straightforward, transparent.

I absolutely love my doctor. He was friendly, he has great Pt-Dr rapport and he was extremely thorough. The office staff was extremely friendly! They all displayed a friendly disposition, even the ladies in the office near the exit greeted me as I passed by to exit the back area. Overall, I would highly recommend this location over the Main campus. Not to say that staff there isn’t as friendly but I must say that I love the more intimate setting at Gessner location. 10 ??s across the board! Thanks to all of you for making my visit a great one.
