I’m Dr. Ivy Attobra, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 14 years of nursing experience and nearly seven years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of St. Francis and my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University in 2023.
I have experience caring for individuals from diverse backgrounds and stages of life, including children ages six and older, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
At Mentis Psychiatric Services, I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, evidence-based medication management, and supportive therapy for anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, sleep difficulties, and other mental health concerns.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I take time to listen, understand each person’s needs and goals, and create a treatment plan together. My goal is to provide a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients and families feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.

Payments and Insurance Coverage
A valid credit or debit card must be kept on file. After your insurance processes the claim, typically within two to four weeks, your card will be charged for any remaining patient responsibility, including copays, coinsurance, or deductibles. A receipt will be provided after each payment.

Patients appreciate that I take the time to listen without rushing, explain treatment options clearly, and develop practical treatment plans that fit their individual needs. I strive to provide timely follow-up and create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where patients and families feel heard, respected, and supported.
I provide thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care for children ages six and older, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, sleep difficulties, trauma-related symptoms, and the effects of chronic stress.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in current clinical research.
When medication is appropriate, I combine medication management with practical, personalized strategies designed to improve daily functioning and quality of life while minimizing potential side effects. My goal is to help each patient achieve meaningful, sustainable improvement and long-term stability.
To promote safe and responsible care, please be aware of the following practice policies:
• Stimulant medications are not prescribed during the initial appointment unless the patient’s prescription history has been reviewed and verified through the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).
• Mentis Psychiatric Services is a benzodiazepine- and Z-drug-free practice. I do not prescribe medications such as Xanax (alprazolam), Valium (diazepam), Ativan (lorazepam), Ambien (zolpidem), Lunesta (eszopiclone), or Sonata (zaleplon).
• I do not perform disability evaluations or provide emotional support animal letters.
My priority is to provide ethical, clinically sound treatment focused on lasting improvement rather than quick fixes. You can expect supportive, individualized care in which your concerns are taken seriously and your treatment is designed to help you feel and function at your best.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My process begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to better understand your concerns, symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals. Together, we develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle recommendations, or a combination of approaches.
Follow-up visits focus on monitoring progress, addressing concerns, and adjusting treatment as needed. My goal is to provide compassionate, collaborative care in a supportive and judgment-free environment.
