If you’re here, something isn’t working the way you want it to—and you don’t have to figure it out alone. I work with children, teens, and families who feel stuck in patterns that create stress, disconnection, or emotional overwhelm. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, behavior, or big emotions, your teen feels withdrawn or misunderstood, or your family is caught in cycles of conflict—you’re not alone, and change is possible. My approach is active, collaborative, and insight-driven. I don’t just listen—I help you understand what’s actually happening beneath the surface and give you clear, practical tools to shift it. Together, we identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck and work toward meaningful, lasting change. With children and teens, I focus on building emotional awareness, regulation skills, and confidence. With parents, I offer guidance and strategies that are both effective and realistic—so you feel more equipped and less overwhelmed. Family sessions create a space where everyone feels heard and where communication can start to feel safer and more productive. Clients often come to me feeling frustrated, exhausted, or unsure of what to do next. Over time, they begin to feel more connected, more confident, and more in control of their relationships and emotional lives. You don’t need to wait for things to get worse to get support. If something feels off, that’s reason enough to reach out.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is active, honest, and focused on real change—not just talking about problems week after week. I will help you (or your child/teen) understand what’s actually driving the behaviors, emotions, or patterns you’re struggling with. Together, we’ll identify what’s keeping things stuck and work toward clear, practical shifts that carry over into your daily life. I’m direct and engaged in sessions. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer insights, and guide you toward new ways of thinking and responding. At the same time, I prioritize creating a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and not judged. For children and teens, I tailor sessions to their developmental level so they feel safe, understood, and willing to participate. I also work closely with parents, offering guidance and strategies you can realistically use at home—because lasting change happens outside the therapy room. For families, I focus on improving communication, reducing conflict, and helping each person feel heard without escalating tensions. Therapy with me may feel different than what you expect—in a good way. It’s collaborative, structured when needed, and designed to help you move forward, not stay stuck. Consistency and openness matter. The more you’re willing to engage in the process, the more you’ll get out of it. If you’re looking for therapy that is thoughtful, practical, and focused on meaningful change, we’ll likely be a good fit.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with a comprehensive initial session where I get a clear understanding of what’s bringing you in, your history, and what’s not working right now. From there, we define specific goals so therapy feels focused and purposeful—not open-ended or vague. Early in the process, I help identify the patterns driving the challenges you’re experiencing. This might include emotional responses, communication dynamics, behavioral patterns, or deeper beliefs that are shaping how you (or your child/teen) show up. Once we have clarity, we move into active work. Sessions are structured but flexible—I guide the process while adapting to what’s most relevant in the moment. You can expect practical strategies, tools, and real-time feedback to help you make changes outside of sessions, not just talk about them. For children and teens, I tailor sessions to their developmental level and integrate skill-building in a way that feels engaging and accessible. I also offer walk-and-talk therapy and have a therapy dog that I can bring - both of which facilitate instant rapport. Parent involvement is a key part of the process, with regular guidance and strategies you can apply at home. For families, we focus on shifting interaction patterns, improving communication, and reducing cycles of conflict so the entire system can function more effectively. Throughout our work, we track progress and adjust as needed. The goal is not just insight—but meaningful, lasting change that translates into your everyday life.
