Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
NJ
*After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment* I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner offering telehealth psychiatric evaluations, therapy, and medication management to adults across New York and New Jersey. My care is rooted in evidence-based practices and guided by the belief that mental health support should be both scientifically grounded and personally meaningful. I have particular experience supporting adults with anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, and life transitions. I often work with individuals navigating grief, identity shifts, and burnout, and I support patients in finding clarity, emotional regulation, and a sense of direction. I also frequently work with patients who are unsure about medication or are interested in re-evaluating their current regimen. My background includes working closely with high-functioning professionals and young adults navigating perfectionism, stress, and life changes. I also have experience working with individuals who have complex trauma histories, including veterans, and prefer a collaborative, thoughtful approach to care. I welcome and affirm LGBTQ+ patients and have supported many through deeply personal and difficult transitions. What drew me to this field is a deep interest in the “why” behind what people feel and experience. I’ve always been fascinated by how past experiences shape present patterns, and I feel incredibly honored to walk alongside patients as they connect those dots and move toward a more sustainable and fulfilling life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each individual. Whether we're addressing symptoms, exploring insight, or adjusting medication, I aim to meet patients where they are, with flexibility, compassion, and care that feels human and grounded. I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a space that is safe, nonjudgmental, and empowering, especially for those who may have had care that felt rushed or impersonal in the past. I'm passionate about helping people feel seen, understood, and empowered. It's a privilege to help patients deepen their understanding of themselves and make changes that feel meaningful and lasting. There's no pressure to have it all figured out. You can show up exactly as you are. I want our work to feel like a conversation, not a checklist, where there's room to explore your thoughts, needs, and goals at your own pace. Outside of work, I find balance through time with my family, music, movement, and moments of quiet reflection. I try to live the same things I encourage in my patients: self-compassion, boundaries, and permission to rest when needed. Unwinding isn't always about doing something. For me, it's often about creating space to simply exist.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I specialize in trauma-informed psychiatric care, which means I approach mental health through the lens that many symptoms are adaptive responses to difficult or overwhelming life experiences. Rather than focusing solely on diagnosis, we work together to understand the “why” behind your current struggles and what supports healing. In our sessions, I integrate talk therapy with thoughtful medication management when appropriate. I often use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, and motivational interviewing, a conversational method that supports change by exploring your values and goals. These approaches help guide practical steps forward while offering space for deeper self-reflection. I also have experience with deprescribing, helping patients safely reduce or simplify their medication regimens when it aligns with their goals and well-being. Our work together might include exploring emotional patterns, developing coping strategies, setting realistic goals, or simply making sense of where you are and where you want to go. Sessions are paced thoughtfully and shaped by your preferences, so you feel supported, not rushed. Above all, I want care to feel collaborative, personal, and meaningful, something that evolves with you and supports you in building a life that feels more aligned and sustainable.
