Hi there, I'm Eddyfay!
I'm Eddyfay Daley. I'm a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I'm licensed in CT, NY, & FL. My focus is to treat my patients from a person-centered and a measurement based approach. My patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. My focus areas are treating patients with ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar, and substance use disorders. It is my goal to continue to advocate for my clients who struggle to be heard and understood, while honoring their individuality and autonomy.
My approach
I specialize in medication management, by utilizing a medicinal and holistic approach. Therefore, the most common theoretical approaches used in my practice are CBT, Motivational Interview, & Supportive Therapy.
My focus
I typically work with patients dx with ADHD, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, and substance use disorders.
My communication style
I provide a non-judgmental, safe space. My aim is to make my patients feel comfortable in my care, while being supported on their healing journey.
My journey to mental healthcare
I've worked in various specialties throughout my nursing career, and it wasn't until I noticed how differently patients with mental illness were treated that I decided that I wanted to be a mental health provider. My patients with mental illness were almost expected to control their behavior. However, the same thing wasn't asked of my patients with any other condition.
My goals for you
The initial interaction, whether it's a phone consultation or the initial evaluation, sets the tone for the clinician to understand who the patient is and if/how they can help the patient. This is also the start of the patient expressing the purpose for reaching out. Essentially, starting the goal setting for the patient.
