They may have a variety of diagnoses, but what they have in common is a willingness to give the process time, openness to new ideas, and an understanding that there is no magic pill to fix all their problems. My patients want to become the best version of themselves and are willing to try therapy as well as medications to help reach that goal. They seek an empathetic, listening provider who can guide their care based on evidence, tailored to their individual needs. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a Master's degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Vanderbilt University, it is my job to partner with my patients to help prevent, identify, and treat psychiatric disorders. Through biological interventions, psychotherapy, and traditional approaches including medication management, I help my patients lead happier, more productive lives.
