Getting to know Edith Marie Hoth

It is my privilege to serve individuals and families who are seriously ready to make changes to improve their lives and the lives of their loved ones through introspection, dedication, and collaboration. The ideal client is one who is interested in digging deep to identify the root of their concerns and making new self-discoveries along the way. I am especially passionate about serving those stuck in the nightmare associated with divorce, family court, or any other force that might be causing the destruction of your family. Prevention is the best cure! There is hope! If you suspect that your current situation could be better but you are doubtful of success, I encourage you to find the will to make the effort to investigate the possibilities. Alone you might not succeed, but as a collaborative team, the caterpillar can break free of its prison to emerge a butterfly, and the storms can part, giving way to rainbows. I hold a Master's in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Wilkes University, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's in Nursing from Sonoma State University, which have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you on this journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am personally passionate about teaching the skill of psychological resilience as a means of breaking the cycle of multi-generational mental illness, and improving overall wellness. I am dedicated to the preservation of parent-child relationships. I am skilled in the art of motivational interviewing, providing humanistic and other forms of therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

With compassion and empathy, I provide thorough psychiatric evaluations, utilizing appropriate diagnostic testing before assigning diagnoses. I can prescribe medications to augment psychotherapy, in efforts to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life. In subsequent visits, we can assess the effectiveness of the care plan, and make adjustments as needed.
