Edith Takere, NP

Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatry)
TX
I'm Edith! As your provider, it is my goal to see you become a better version of yourself. It is my belief that life's experiences teach things about the world that may no longer be the most helpful or true today; even if they were true at the time in our past. When we don't adapt and remain flexible, we find ourselves in a web of mistaken beliefs, thinking errors and unresolved life problems. As a result, it becomes too hard to find our way and manage life's challenges in the here-and-now. I love to be present when my clients find a new way and authentically experience change. I've worked with clients from many walks of life and with varied needs. My areas of expertise are in Depression, Anxiety, Panic disorder, Insomnia, Narcolepsy, and PTSD. I like to use simple and direct questions to help my clients explain their health issues. My favorite activities when I'm not at work are to explore and appreciate new and exciting restaurants with my family, new recipes, beautiful parks and beaches. I graduated from Walden University with a Masters of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatry. Selecting a provider on a platform like Sondermind can be difficult because it's not easy to know exactly what you are getting into. "Will this provider really know what she's talking about? Is she a total Quack? Will she actually be able to help me?" These questions are the norm for clients and uncertainty comes with the territory of what you are searching for. It's my hope that we will make a great team and you will become that better version of yourself you're searching for.
