What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me means you’ll be met with curiosity, compassion, and no judgment. I understand that seeking help—especially for your mental health—can feel overwhelming or even scary. My role is to make that process feel safe and collaborative. I take time to get to know the full picture: your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and goals—not just a checklist of diagnoses. While I do offer medication management, I never push prescriptions. Instead, I guide you through options and help you make informed choices that align with your values. Clients often tell me they feel truly heard during our sessions. My approach is structured but flexible: I offer education, tools, and treatment plans tailored to your unique needs—whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorders, or more complex challenges. If you’ve felt dismissed, misunderstood, or rushed in the past, I want to offer a different experience—one that honors your voice and helps you feel more in control of your mental health journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start by getting to know you—not just your symptoms. Our first session is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where I’ll ask about your mental health history, current concerns, medical background, and life stressors. We’ll explore how these pieces fit together so I can form a full picture of what’s going on. From there, we’ll discuss a treatment plan that may include medication, therapy referrals, or lifestyle recommendations. I explain everything clearly, including the pros and cons of any medication options, and you’ll always have the final say. Follow-up visits are typically shorter and focused on how you’re responding to treatment, what’s improving, and what might need adjusting. I check in not just on symptoms, but on how you’re feeling overall—emotionally, mentally, and even physically. You can expect: A calm, respectful space No judgment, pressure, or rushed decisions Education so you understand your diagnosis and options A partner who listens, cares, and adjusts the plan as needed Whether you’re new to psychiatric care or returning after a difficult experience, I aim to make the process transparent, supportive, and empowering.
