About Dr. Edward Nejat
"I strive to create a calm setting in which all of us at Generation Next can provide the consummate patient experience. Helping families achieve their reproductive dreams is what drew me into this field. It is the most fulfilling aspect of my career."
As Founding Partner and Practice Director of Generation Next Fertility, Dr. Nejat considers the doctor-patient relationship to be paramount. He believes that spending adequate time with his patients, being accessible to answer their questions, and having empathy, in addition to possessing exceptional clinical ability, are crucial to providing best-in-class medical care. His particular areas of scientific interest include natural cycle IVF, mild stimulation IVF, unexplained infertility, diminished ovarian reserve, oocyte cryopreservation and oocyte donor/recipient cycles.
He has received numerous awards and has been published widely in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility with contributions to scientific journals including The New England Journal of Medicine Human Reproduction, Fertility and Sterility, and The Journal of Clinical Oncology. He has presented his work at many academic conferences, and various media outlets have reported on his research including the BBC, The Telegraph, Medscape, Pregnancy.org, and IVF.net.
Dr. Nejat has spent the vast majority of his academic and professional career in New York City. He received his Bachelor of Arts in biology from New York University’s College of Arts and Science, his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell. Dr. Nejat is board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, and Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Beautiful, comforting, caring office. There is a baby grand piano where a young lady was playing beautiful, soothing music. Very positive environment and wonderful care.

The facility was very clean and the staff were exceptionally kind. Dr. Nejat himself was a wonderful provider mainly because of his bedside manners. His communication was patient, calm, knowledgeable, and comprehensive. This has been one of the few providers that actually made me feel heard and comfortable enough to continue seeing him when necessary.

I highly recommend Doctor Nejat.
One of the best experiences I have with a Doctor since I love to US 10 years ago from Brasil. He listen, he’s friendly, didn’t rushed the appointment, did himself the ultrasound what never saw before here, usually is a technician. The staff is super friendly and the office beautiful.

Dr. Nejat and his staff (especially Abigail!) we’re truly incredible. They were extremely thorough and took the time to gather an extensive medical history before proceeding with testing, recommendations and referrals. They were calm, patient, and caring as they discussed a difficult diagnosis and walked me through every step of the process. They provided excellent referrals, scheduled follow-up appointments, and provided me with an extremely detailed e-mail summary of everything we had discussed during our visit. Dr. Nejat is the best doctor and his office was the best medical experience we've had in NYC. He has great bedside manner, is knowledgable and thorough, and compassionate. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking fertility treatment, or in our case, just answers and reassurance around our genetic and reproductive health. Once we got pregnant, he continued to stay with us until our 9th week, and I was so grateful for the continued weekly monitoring and care during those very scare first weeks.
