Dr. Edward Shmaruk, D.C., is a Board Certified Chiropractor licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey. He received his undergraduate degree from Montclair State University and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Shmaruk provides a non-invasive alternative healthcare approach to clients who have suffered disruptions to their musculoskeletal and nervous systems.
His practice emphasizes sports injuries, automobile accidents, work-related traumas, and family care/wellness programs. Through chiropractic care and other therapeutic treatments, Dr. Shmaruk has had great success promoting the healing process and preventing similar injuries and symptoms from recurring.
He holds a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo and actively teaches and practices the art. In February 2009, Dr. Shmaruk was invited to be the team chiropractor for the FIBT World Bobsled & Skeleton Team Championships in Lake Placid. He worked with world-class Olympic athletes from the Russian Olympic Bobsled & Skeleton teams, providing chiropractic treatments, physiotherapeutic care, and functional rehabilitation to help maximize each athlete's performance. Dr. Shmaruk was also invited back to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada.
Dr. Shmaruk is active in the community, sponsoring an adult soccer league called the Oakland Strikers and giving various lectures on health topics and concerns about spinal hygiene, posture, and living a healthy, pain-free lifestyle.

I arrived at the office for a confirmed appointment. The door was locked. The doctor actually let me in and told me to take a seat in the waiting room. I waited for about 15 minutes only to be told that Zak made a mistake and booked an appointment during their lunch hour. Even though the doctor was there they told me I either needed to wait an hour or reschedule so I just decided to leave. Neither doctor nor staff were friendly or accommodating, or very concerned about the error that was clearly on their part.

I am highly satisfied with the progress made from my visits with treating for chiropractic care from Dr. Shmaruk - he was very professional, knowledgeable and extremely on point with the treatments - his office has all new , latest technology equipment and his staff is very nice too. Office is clean- hours are accommodating - definitely recommend this facility for anyone in need of chiropractic care.

Love coming here for Chiro treatments! I have suffered from multiple disc herniations and after my last pregnancy it was at its worst. Dr. Shmaruk composed the best treatment care plan for my specific needs. I also love that they have physical therapy here as well so I can do both services in one same visit date. Dr Shmaruk cares about his patients and truly focuses on helping heal the best.
