This is not the first time I have seen Dr. Edward Zamecki, this is the first time I have decided to write and post a review. I, my wife, my daughter and my son in law are patients of Dr. Zamecki’s for the past few years. I wanted to write this review because I realized that the staff at Z Medical Care has not let the COVID-19 pandemic deter their efforts to deliver great care. Every visit for me and my family to Dr. Zamecki’s office has been hassle free. Wait time, unlike many other practices is relatively short, 10-20 minutes. The office is always a spotless socially distanced environment where everyone was wearing masks. The professional and courteous front desk staff is always very helpful and is open to listen to and answer any questions I had. On one occasion when I had difficulty booking an appointment with a specialist, the front desk staff called on my behalf and made the appointment for me. In the past drawing my blood has always been very stressful, I dreaded those appointments. You could call me a “difficult patient”, even labs had difficulty with my veins. Ever since I have been coming to Dr. Zamecki’s office, thanks to Daisy and Grace, the experience has been stress free. Dr. Zamecki has always done a thorough work up and takes the time to explain blood work results in detail and address issues promptly with follow up tests or medications, as necessary. I and my family are very pleased with our experience at Z medical Care. Dr. Zamecki and his staff make me feel that I am in safe hands, that I am being treated with professionalism and care. I am truly grateful that when I’m sick, I can call the office and get an appointment that same day. This COVID-19 pandemic has been hard for all of us, we have had to learn a new normal, Dr. Zamecki and his staff has made themselves available to talk to and get my problems resolved. A big Thank You to everyone at Z Medical Care.

My wife and I take physicals every year. Due to Covid-19, our previous family physician cancelled our appointment. So we decided to go to Dr. Zamecki’s office to have it done together. A few days after the physical, the office notified me that my lab results came back. After I asked for a copy, the office emailed me five JPG files (titled image1 …). Obviously someone took pictures of my private lab test results and emailed me. The picture quality is so poor that it is barely legible. My wife never got any notice. I had to call the office days later to get the results. When the office asked us to schedule follow-up visits to go over the results, we decided to talk over the phone with Dr. Zamecki instead. Each phone call lasted a couple of minutes. We thought that is it, because our Cigna insurance covers the annual physical and we never have to pay anything related. Two months later, we received two bills of Dr. Zamecki’s office and each charging us copay. My wife called Cigna. Cigna said that the phone call with Dr. Zamecki is regarded as a separate visit, not part of the preventive care, because he made some recommendation to both us over the phone. When I raise this issue with the office, I was told to deal with my insurance company.
We are reasonable people. We will pay if it is what we are supposed to pay. Our previous physician always mails us the test results with doctor’s comments and recommendations. I guess like all other occupations, not all doctors are at the same level. To be fair, the office is clean. The two nurses we met are nice and professional. But, we will not go back to Dr. Zamacki’s office again and we will not recommend him to anyone else.

This was by far my best experience seeing a PCP. Dr. Zamecki was friendly, patient, and thorough -- he asked good questions and made sure that all of mine were answered before I left. Dr. Zamecki was extremely nice. I feel like he worked to understand me as a person and laid out a go forward plan based on how he think I would best respond (e.g. extra tests just to be sure). He is requiring me to go back to review my tests because I am a new patient, which I really appreciate so that I'm not left calling his office and chasing results.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR. Dr. Zamecki provides excellent medical treatment in a very clean and modern office. He takes the time to provide professional and personalized medical service. I have been a patient of Dr. Zamecki for three years and have never been disappointed with the treatment. He has properly diagnosed any illness I have had and keeps me healthy by implementing preventive measures to insure my daily health. The office is properly staffed with a receptionist, two nurses, a medical technician and of course the doctor. I am always admitted on time and never have had to wait past my appointment. Dr. Zamecki is an extremely qualified physician. He is always available when I need him and combined with his caring bedside manner makes going to the doctor stress free.

There are many walk in clinics here in Glen Cove but Dr. Zamecki at Z Medical Care cannot be compared to any of the other offices/Doctors. I saw him on Saturday morning as I was feeling extremely sick, he was very professional, thorough, detailed and competent. He carefully exam me answered all my questions and concerns. The staff was polite and very helpful! I recommend Dr.Zamecki as a PCP!

Don't recommend this doctor. Longer than average wait time with an appointment. But mostly he was very short when I asked for nutrient tests, etc, as part of my normal annual physical. Then he wrote me a prescription for a heavy metals test (required going to labcorp because he's not equipped and unwilling to do the test in his office), then when I lost it, I was told I needed to make a new appointment with a holistic doctor and he would not write a new prescription. He also apparently requires making a follow up appointment to review lab test results. Best to just save your time and go to a more thorough doctor who cares more about the patient experience.

After reading the reviews, i went to see dr. Z for an annual and possible PCP thinking it would be a great experience. Dr. Z was the total opposite of all the reviews. I had to pay out of pocket for something that was covered in my plan. I had to get my insurance involved to get refunded. Dr.Z was screaming from his back office and i could hear everything he was saying. I never went back and never will go back...

Staff is the best. Dr Zamecki has a lot of convenient appointment times and you can always drop in in case you don’t. I’m 32 m lifelong type 1 diabetic and Dr Zamecki gets me. Office is clean and there’s parking. See him. You won’t regret it.

Office would not tell me results over the phone and made me come in...I was very worried and appointment wasn't until the next day. It turned out I had low vitamin D! Why couldn't they tell me this over the phone even when I asked?! Maybe to charge my insurance for another appointment! Then I go a bill for Tobacco Smoking consult which he took less than a couple minutes and not covered by insurance. He failed to tell me that there would an out of pocket expense and the billing office could care less when I called. I ended up just paying the bill but I will never go back there again. They are only interested in your money.

My experience this morning was an overall pleasant experience. The receptionist and the med tech that took my blood were both very nice and professional. I unfortunately did not get to see Dr. Zamecki because he only practices after 2pm, now I know. The nurse practitioner who saw me kind of made me feel foolish when I was explaining what was going on but also seemed confident that she would find an answer and relieve my problems. Overall a great office, I recommend this location rather highly.
