I treat adults of all ages with a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and various phobias. We can also address sleeping difficulties, relationship challenges, work stress, and life stage transitions. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University School of Medicine, completed my psychiatry residency at the University of Connecticut, and pursued a forensic psychiatry fellowship at Brown University. These experiences have shaped my approach to comprehensive, individualized care. As we work together, I will strive to get to know you as a person and understand who you are. At the end of your first session, we will discuss treatment recommendations and collaborate on an action plan tailored to your needs. Recommendations may include changes to diet or exercise, talk therapy, prescription medications, lab tests, or referrals to other doctors as appropriate. Please note, I do not accept insurance. Insurance companies often create barriers to care that affect our therapeutic relationship. By not taking insurance, I offer a superior level of care and attention, with no constraints on appointment duration or frequency and flexibility to create an individualized treatment plan. Also, by not submitting claims, your care remains completely private. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may submit claims to your insurance company. Many patients receive full or partial reimbursements depending on coverage. I provide an invoice ("superbill") at the end of appointments or through your patient portal to assist with this. If you want to use out-of-network benefits, I recommend calling your insurance company before your appointment to confirm coverage.
