I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Iran University of Medical Sciences, completed my Residency in Psychiatry at The Mount Sinai Hospital, and hold a Master's in Experimental Medicine from The University of British Columbia.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I understand how challenging it can be to find a suitable mental health provider in NYC. I'm happy to offer a free 15-minute video consultation to help determine whether I might be a good fit for your needs, share a preliminary opinion, and discuss other potential providers or resources that may be helpful.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
1_Initial Free Phone/Video Call (Duration: 10-15 minutes)
Before moving forward with an intake consultation, we will arrange a free 10–15-minute introductory phone call to discuss your needs and determine if my practice is the right fit for you. Following this, we will proceed with scheduling a comprehensive intake consultation.
2_Intake Consultation (Duration: 60 minutes)
Before our intake session, I will ask you to complete the necessary intake forms and submit them via my HIPAA-compliant secure email. After the intake consultation, if we both feel that my practice meets your needs, we will proceed by scheduling a follow-up appointment.
3_Follow-up Appointments (Duration: 30-60 minutes)
There are three treatment approaches available:
_Medication Management + Therapy (45 or 60 minutes): This is the most commonly recommended approach, offering evidence-based superior effectiveness compared to medication management or therapy alone.
_Medication Management Only (30 minutes): This option is ideal for individuals who require medication without committing to regular therapy sessions.
_Therapy Only (45 or 60 minutes): This approach is suitable when no acute symptoms are present that could lead to significant dysfunction.
