Getting to know Dr. Eileen Difrancesco
Eileen DiFrancesco, MD, graduated from University of Pennsylvania with honors and completed her medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). She is licensed to practice in the state of New York. Dr. DiFrancesco completed her residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC.
As Medical Director of the Learning Laboratory in Stamford, Connecticut, Dr. DiFrancesco specialized in diagnosing and treating Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and teen addiction, using a form of Quantitative EEG, also known as "Brain Mapping". She also worked at Rockefeller University, Cornell and New York hospitals, treating drug and alcohol addiction.
Dr. DiFrancesco has been in private practice for over 13 years in the New York City area and sees patients of all ages – from children to the elderly.
As an integrative psychopharmacologist and psychiatrist, Dr. DiFrancesco leverages the latest in diagnostic technology to balance nutritional deficiencies, test for food allergies and intolerances, balance brain chemistry, thyroid and adrenal issues alongside more conventional treatments. She specializes in patients with anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, sleep problems, eating disorders and other addictive disorders.

During your initial 30-60 minute evaluation, an assessment of your treatment needs will be made by Dr. DiFrancesco. At that point Dr. DiFrancesco may continue with you as a patient or decide that you needs would better met by referral to a therapist or another type of healthcare provider. Please note that no treatment will be provided during your initial visit.

Initial session: $695 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $325 for 30 minutes

Dr. DiFrancesco DOES NOT take insurance, so before your visit, please notify your health insurance company to see if they provide any reimbursement benefits. The initial visit cost for all new patients is $550. During your initial evaluation, an assessment of your treatment needs will be made by Dr.DiFrancesco. At that point, Dr.DiFrancesco may continue with you as a patient or decide that your needs would be better met by referral to a therapist of another type of healthcare provider. Subsequent visit fees depend on the length of your time for your visit which will be determined by your condition.
Please be aware that there is a $150 cancellation fee for initial evaluations canceled within 24hours of the visit and you will be charged the full visit fee for canceling any regular visits within 24hours of the visit. A $50 late fee will be applied for all unpaid invoices 1 month after the appointment date. Please fill out and return the self-pay agreement attached to continue your booking.

Dr. DiFrancesco is a great listener who manages to identify and diagnose problems with ease. She is relatable and she really seems like she cares for her patients and their needs. I received great insight and I now feel more confident on my path forward. Highly recommend.

Constantly double booking herself so even if you get an appointment scheduled, don't be surprised to find out that others have the same appointment. Hard to get a hold of the doctor, so be prepared to call / text multiple times. Very nice person but needs help with the administrative side.

Dr. DiFrancesco is unlike any other psychiatrist I've ever met or seen. She truly cares. She has a deep interest in understanding you as a whole person- your mind as well as your chemistry. She is a true professional. Her vast knowledge and experience is unique. Above all, I know she cares and is a kind and wonderful soul- she is helping me immeasurably. I recommend her fully and without hesitation. She is a treasure and I am so thankful to have found her.
