Dr. Ekaterina Staikova is a licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist specializing in life-span neuropsychology. Dr. Staikova specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation of individuals with a wide range of neurological and cognitive disorders, including neurodegenerative disorders/dementias, epilepsy, movement disorders, stroke, traumatic brain injury/concussions, as well as medical and psychiatric disorders that have cognitive implications. Dr. Staikova strives to tailor each assessment to unique concerns and needs of each patient. Following an evaluation, all patients are provided with a comprehensive report summarizing their neurocognitive, emotional, and/or academic functioning as well as recommendations to address specific problems and optimize general functioning and overall quality of life for clients and their families. Dr. Staikova also offers a follow-up appointment to review test findings and address any questions or concerns. Dr. Staikova received her doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She completed an internship at the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University. Throughout her training, Dr. Staikova worked in a variety of settings, from inpatient acute rehabilitation facilities to tertiary care medical centers. She has extensive experience in working with diverse clinical populations, including a range of clinical conditions, cultural-linguistic background, and socioeconomic status.
