About Dr. Ekta Patel
Dr. Ekta Patel is a board-qualified foot and ankle surgeon. She is originally from Delaware and received her BA in Biology and Women’s Studies from the University of Delaware. She went on to podiatry school at Temple University. She completed her residency training at Inspira Health Network in New Jersey.
Dr. Patel recognizes the significance of delivering thorough patient care and firmly believes in exploring all non-surgical options before considering surgical interventions. During residency, Dr. Patel was exposed to all aspects of podiatric medicine including sports medicine, wound care, preventive care, limb salvage, and elective and nonelective surgeries. She went on to practice in New Jersey before moving to Virginia.
Dr. Patel has recently relocated to the Northern Virginia Area. She lives here with her husband. When she is not working she enjoys spending her time exploring her new home, trying new recipes, or reading.

It was my first visit and they didn’t do much; only a toenail sample taken to be sent to the Lab. overall it was a good experience.

Dr. Patel is the best podiatrist I've ever had help me. She accomplished so much during that first visit, answering all my questions, and taking an impression for my new orthotics.
Also, a previous doctor had prescribed an anti-fungal medication for a couple of my toenails. (Never get a foot soak at a salon that offers pedicures, that's my advice. That's how I got the toenail fungus.)
It seemed weird, what was happening, using this medicine. I called the office of my previous doctor. A nurse at my OLD practice expressed sympathy and said, sure I could take a break from time to time and just not use it..
Dr. Patel told me to use the medication for 7 days in a row, then remove the buildup with an acetone-based nail polish remover. She even (expertly) used a small tool to scrape away most of the thick buildup that had accumulated from that medication. I'm so grateful
Problem solved.
As for Dr. Patel, and her staff - Bridget and Kristin - all of them are treasures. Gratitude!

I had a terrific experience at Progressive Foot in Sterling, Virginia. The staff was very helpful, and the podiatrist was very knowledgeable and set up with a very simple plan for eradicating the issues with my feet. I definitely recommend this podiatrist with foot issues.
