Dr. Elina Kugel, Psy.D is a licensed clinical psychologist and the co-founder of Curect Neuropsychology.
Dr. Kugel specializes in neuropsychological evaluation of children and adults presenting with a wide range of brain disorders, including ADHD, Learning Disorders, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease/dementia, stroke and traumatic brain injury/concussions, among other diagnoses. She tailors each evaluation to address the specific concerns and needs of each client. At the conclusion of testing, Dr. Kugel provides clients with a comprehensive written report detailing cognitive, emotional and/or academic functioning. Each client also receives an extensive list of practical and concrete recommendations to help them and their family focus on strengths in order to overcome their specific set of challenges.
Dr. Kugel received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from the University of Hartford. Dr. Kugel received extensive clinical training including the Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical College-New York Presbyterian Hospital. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Icahn School of Medicine-Mount Sinai Hospital and postdoctoral fellowship at the JFK-Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Kugel’s research interests include traumatic brain injury and neurodegenerative diseases.

They do not check zocdoc appointments. I got there and they had no idea I had even made an appointment online and then told me I should’ve called to verify the appointment. I’ve never had a problem booking on zocdoc, every doctor I’ve ever visited was aware of the appointment, and called or emailed me prior to the appointment. They told me they did not offer in person talk therapy (which is what I booked for) and they only offer telehealth visits. The front desk staff was nice and pointed me in the direction to contact my insurance to find something that works for me, however I would avoid booking through zocdoc.

Making the appointment for my son was the best choice I could have made. I now have answers and guidence to get my son all the help he needs. Dr Kugel went over the entire evaluation and I now have a clearer understanding and know what my son needs. Aside from her I am so grateful for Susan in the office that went above and beyond!! I am very happy with everything they have provided us with.and strongly recommend them.
