Elissa Ganz, PhD
I am a clinical psychologist that has been in private practice for close to 15 years. I work with adults, adolescents, pre-teens, couples and families providing both short-term and long-term psychotherapy. I believe in order to best understand one's current struggles and make long lasting change, it is important to look at past experiences in order to develop insight into long standing patterns that might be repeating themselves and preventing change and satisfaction in romantic relationships, success/productivity at work, recent or long standing anxiety and depression. A safe and warm environment, along with the therapeutic relationship are the the most important factors that enable my clients to become vulnerable and make important discoveries that facilitate in their journey to make the changes they desire and experience symptom relief. I always remain very engaged and empathic while challenging in a gentle and direct way. I work with a lot of college students and young adults going through many transitions in their lives, relationship struggles, as well as new and expectant mothers and the LGBT community.
