“Elizabeth is an incredible provider. It can be really tricky to find a mental health provider who is warm, makes an effort to really understand you, and is truly supportive. I felt comfortable right away and she has such a great ability to connect. She was super on top of all communication, better than any other PMHNP that I’ve worked with. I have a pretty complex medical history and mental health history and there wasn’t a second where I felt like she wasn’t going to do everything to help me. I really trusted her immediately.”

Getting to know Elizabeth Block

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I take a holistic, patient-centered approach to mental wellness—meeting each person with empathy, curiosity, and zero judgment. I specialize in women’s mental health across the lifespan, including support for anxiety, depression, trauma, reproductive and perinatal mental health, life transitions, and more. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where you feel heard and supported. I recognize that mental health is deeply personal, and I honor the complexity of each individual’s journey. Whether you're exploring medication options, navigating stress, or processing deeper emotional patterns, I’m here to walk alongside you. Open-minded, trauma-informed care is at the heart of my practice. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities, and I’m committed to helping you feel empowered in your healing process.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Due to regulations in the state of California, controlled substances (Schedule II–V) cannot be prescribed unless all required clinical criteria and monitoring requirements are met. These safeguards are in place to ensure ethical, lawful, and high-quality care. First and foremost, I want you to know that you are safe here. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected—exactly as you are, without judgment. I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a background in both mental health and labor & delivery nursing. My experience supporting individuals through some of the most vulnerable and powerful moments of their lives—whether that's bringing new life into the world or navigating emotional challenges—has deeply shaped the way I approach care. I’ve learned that healing doesn't always follow a straight line, and I’m here to walk alongside you, wherever you are on your journey. I believe in treating the whole person—not just symptoms—and that your story, your values, and your lived experiences matter. I take a collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach, always honoring your autonomy and strengths. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, trauma, identity challenges, or perinatal/postpartum concerns, I will meet you with compassion, curiosity, and a willingness to understand. You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming here. It’s okay to be unsure, overwhelmed, or simply in need of someone to listen. I’m here to support you in finding clarity, balance, and a sense of empowerment in your mental health.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and patient-centered. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients' feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. I like take the time to understand not just their symptoms, but also their values, goals, and lived experiences. I approach each patient with kindness, curiosity, and respect, and I believe healing happens best when there’s mutual trust and collaboration. Together, we create a plan that’s grounded in evidence but guided by what truly matters to them. My goal is always to offer care that feels safe, personalized, and empowering — where people know they’re not alone."

Liz is one of the most understanding and genuinely kind practitioners I have ever met. She listens carefully and takes the time to really get to the heart of what is going on instead of just rushing through an appointment. I always feel heard and supported when talking with her. Her calm presence and thoughtful explanations make even the harder topics easier to discuss. Liz has a gift for helping people feel safe and cared for while still guiding them toward real progress. If you are looking for someone who is both professional and compassionate, I highly recommend her.
My experience with Elizabeth was amazing and supportive. Elizabeth asked just the right questions to get to the heart of the matter and provide guidance I needed while also suggesting next steps for a follow-up. I could feel Elizabeth cared about my well-being and healing. I would highly recommend Elizabeth as a practitioner. Christine
Working with Liz has been a truly transformative experience. Her trauma-informed, collaborative approach fostered a safe and supportive environment where real healing could occur. She thoughtfully guided me through each stage of treatment with professionalism, empathy, and expertise. I now feel empowered to rebuild confidence and emotional balance in both my personal and professional life. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking compassionate and effective trauma therapy. She's truly amazing!
She was very knowledgeable and understanding with my issues. For a first time experience, it went smoothly and I have already told a few people about Raven's Eye. Doing a follow up visit on Friday!
I was so thankful for my visit with her. So many mental health professionals miss the mark when assessing patients and making them feel comfortable enough to open up, but this visit was seamless. She was obviously knowledgeable about how to make me feel comfortable and seen, without being judgemental. She had a deep understanding of my complex mental health struggles, which helped me feel secure and trust in the feedback I received. She was also so easy to talk to, making me feel heard and respected. She is an amazing asset to my support network.
Liz with Ravens Eye is the best! I know that I receive good care from her, she makes sure that I’m comfortable and understand what my options are for treatment. I’ve never felt more seen or understood by a medical professional, and for that I’m very appreciative of her.
When you meet a truly exceptional mental health nurse, you don’t just notice their skills—you feel their impact. They have that rare balance of clinical precision and emotional presence, the kind that changes lives, one patient and one moment at a time. Our mental health nurse embodies that power. She is the heartbeat of modern psychiatric care—sharp, intuitive, and unshakably human in her approach. In a field where burnout is common and compassion fatigue is real, she radiates a grounded confidence that steadies both patients and colleagues alike.
