Speech-Language Pathologist
NJ
Hi! I’m Elizabeth. I became a speech-language pathologist because I’m passionate about empowering individuals and their families to overcome communication barriers, build meaningful relationships, and find their own unique voice. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to communicate in ways that feel authentic and effective. My clinical foundation is rooted in both direct practice and higher education. During graduate school, I served as a clinical fellow on an AAC-focused research grant, where I developed specialized experience supporting individuals with complex communication needs. I later returned to Montclair State University as an Adjunct Instructor, teaching the graduate-level course on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and mentoring future speech-language pathologists. I’m committed to evidence-based practice and regularly pursue advanced continuing education to ensure my intervention strategies reflect current research and best practices. I’m especially passionate about AAC and helping individuals discover communication methods that maximize participation, independence, and quality of life. My therapy approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I collaborate closely with clients and families to create meaningful, functional goals and foster a supportive environment where every individual can build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and thrive using the methods that work best for them.
