About Elizabeth Bukac

As a former writer and editor, I often worked side jobs in restaurants and bakeries. I was surprised by how many customers asked me advice on what they should order-not for taste, but for health. Why would they trust a waitress, and wasn't there someone more qualified to answer that? So I decided to become more qualified. I earned my Master's in Nutrition from Hunter College, and I'm so glad I did! Spending 5 years as an RD in a hospital, I saw the consequences of poor nutrition-chronic diseases like diabetes, obesity, and heart disease-that are primarily preventable by eating the right foods. Such a powerful little tool! By working with clients virtually, my goal is to keep them home with their families and out with their friends-not in the hospital. When I'm not talking food, I can be found roaming the outdoors and the endless streets, parks, and bridges of New York City. When I get hungry, I seek out the flavor of whatever neighborhood I find myself in. There are so many ways to prepare and enjoy nourishing foods, and I'm happy to support them all!
