In college, I became fascinated with the variety of stages of communication and learning more about how speech language pathologist can really change the lives of people with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing problems. Even after over 20 years in practice, I am passionate about helping people communicate effectively, which is essential for making relationships and maintaining a strong quality of life. I am certified and trained in the following: Certified Dementia Care Partner, LETRS Reading Program Trained, Visualizing and Verbalizing Trained, Pursuing Certification in Bilingual Speech Language Pathology, finishing 1/2025, Intermediate level ASL, Spanish, Compton PESL training- Accent Reduction. I have worked in settings such as early intervention, private, charter, and public schools working with students age 2 to 21 as well as home care, outpatient rehab, and skilled nursing facilities. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, strengths-based, and rooted in client empowered to create self-advocates.
