About Elizabeth Durchhalter
Elizabeth is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a deep-rooted passion for dermatology and a lifelong commitment to helping others. Born and raised on Long Island, Elizabeth completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Farmingdale State College, where she was a dedicated student-athlete, playing basketball and participating in community service. After graduation, she worked as a medical assistant at a dermatology office, where her love for dermatology truly began. While she always knew she wanted to become a PA, it was during this time that she realized dermatology was her calling.
Elizabeth went on to complete her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Touro University, where she participated in a 16-week Advanced Clinical Training Program (ACTT) at Allure Dermatology. During this program, she developed the skills to treat a variety of chronic skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis, as well as pigmentation disorders like melasma. She also gained experience in cosmetic dermatology procedures, including chemical peels and laser treatments.
Elizabeth is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. She stays updated on the latest advancements in dermatology to provide her patients with the most effective treatments.
As a Long Island native, Elizabeth takes pride in giving back to the community where she grew up. Her strong ties to the area inspire her to foster patient relationships built on trust, understanding, and compassionate care. Outside of her professional life, she values spending quality time with her friend & family and enjoys staying active, maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

I had such a positive experience with Dr. Elizabeth. From the moment I walked in at the Franklin Square office, the front desk lady was very cheerful and helpful to me. The wait time was very quick as well.
The staff came in and took notes prior to the doctor and was very patient with me while I expressed my many concerns. He was also very pleasant to speak with.
What stood out the most was how much Dr. Elizabeth genuinely cares. You can tell this isn’t just a job to her, she’s passionate about helping her patients feel confident and healthy. She explained everything in a way that easy for me to interpret and understand.
I left the appointment feeling validated, supported, and confident in the plan we created together. It’s such a relief to find a dermatologist who not only knows what she’s doing, but also leads with empathy and compassion. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to feel truly cared for.

PA Elizabeth was awesome. I arrived early and ended up finished even before my appointment time. That isn't to say I was rushed, quite to the contrary. She addressed every one of my concerns comprehensively. She was courteous, professional, kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. I've been coming to this practice for many years and I have never once been disappointed. I highly recommend PA Elizabeth and Dr. Durchhalter.

I was looking for a friendly dermatologist for my 17 year old. The entire staff made us feel welcome. They were friendly, knowledgeable and gave us a goody bag of samples of the prescriptions that she sent to the pharmacy. This was the most pleasant dermatologist visit that we’ve ever had.

I was seen for a baseline skin cancer screening that I’ve been putting off for some time. I originally booked with the Dr but had to switch to the PA (her sister) who had phenomenal bedside manner and explained each thing as she went, including why things did or didn’t look concerning. She also went into detail about other skin concerns unrelated to skin cancer which was informative and helpful. She clearly was very knowledgeable in derm and put me at ease. Wait time was short (maybe 10 minutes) and the provider saw me within a few minutes of being placed in an exam room. The appointment itself was quick but thorough. Overall, great experience.

When I arrived at the office I greeted the receptionist saying hello. The younger blonde one was on the phone so she didn’t respond which was understandable but the older brunette just looked and me and continued eating her snack. She never acknowledged my presence nor did assist me in any way. I was just standing there for about 3 minutes. Once the young lady got off of the phone she then asked me for my name and checked me in. I like my doctor she is so sweet and helpful but this particular receptionist just gives off bad energy.
