About Elizabeth Hallstrom
Elizabeth Hallstrom is a board-certified nurse practitioner and a certified dermatology nurse practitioner. She has been practicing medical and cosmetic dermatology for the past eight years. Prior to finding her passion in dermatology, she worked in pediatric intensive care as both a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. Elizabeth received her Bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Connecticut and then earned her Master's degree in Family Nursing from the University of Rhode Island. She enjoys helping patients feel good about living in their skin by treating conditions such as acne and psoriasis, providing cosmetic consultations, and educating patients on skin care maintenance.
Elizabeth and her husband moved to Arizona in 2019. She enjoys hiking and exploring Arizona's many trails with her husband and playing with her two dogs.

The provider was excellent but we had to ask her assistant to put on gloves before she did so.
And this was before she would touch me and my bandages that would cover an open wound. She threw away the gauze she touched but this is still vastly unprofessional for a healthcare worker, speaking as one myself

Office was lovely, and I noted the friendliness of the staff - each patient was handled efficiently in a very friendly manner. This was my first time at this office, but other patients were talking to the staff as if they were old friends. I waited less than 5 minutes to be called up to provide my ID and insurance. 5 more minutes and I was already called back, I didn't even have time to complete the login information on the tablet they gave me. My provider, Elizabeth Hallstrom was quite friendly and easy to communicate with. We reviewed my issue and she examined me and we discussed a course of treatment. She also answered questions I had to unrelated skin issues than the main reason I was there (had her look at some moles, etc.). Very friendly - felt happy with my visit.

My care provider did not seem interested in listening to what has been going on with my skin for the last 9 months or what I was describing. She did not really even look at my skin or if she could see anything with her eyes or some sort of magnification. She wanted to biopsy and blood work without actually taking a close look? What dermatology professional does not even look closely at the skin? It is like going to the dentist and them just glancing in your mouth. She ordered a cream for my symptoms which I will not get. I did allow the biopsy so maybe I will at least get an answer from somebody else? She talked about managing my stress and all the stress in my life is related to this problem. My life was great before this. She recommended fragrance free soap as if that would be an answer to the actual bugs I have found on my skin. I had photos and she said she wanted to see them but did not take the time to look. Highly disappointed in the one size fits all care. Not returning.

Finally! I have been to several doctors trying to get some help with this itchy rash. Elizabeth Halstrom did a biopsy right away and was able to give me a diagnosis and treatment —after an entire year of other doctors not knowing. I’m so glad I found this practice!

Everyone was great except for one employee who told me to never expect your doctors appointment to be on time. I arrived 15 minutes like they asked and waited for a total of 40 minutes. At the end of the day, I will be back. Everyone was so nice except for that one employee. I wish I would have gotten her name.

I visited the medical center to have a cyst on my armpit drained. The staff and administrators were courteous. The largest of the group of cyst was mostly drained. A sample of the fluid was taken for analysis. I will receive results of the sample this week. I will visit again in two weeks for a follow up examination.
