About Elizabeth Russeau
Elizabeth Russeau is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Deerfield Dermatology. She has over 8 years of extensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology experience, beginning as a registered nurse and later advancing to Nurse Practitioner.
Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Illinois Chicago. After graduation, she worked in an intensive care unit, where she honed her clinical skills caring for critically ill patients and their families. In 2015, while working as a Registered Nurse in dermatology, Elizabeth discovered her true passion. Motivated to do more for her patients, she returned to school to pursue advanced practice education. She attended Olivet Nazarene University and obtained a Master of Science degree in nursing.
Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Elizabeth has been practicing since 2018. She is an active member of the Dermatology Nurses Association and the Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Committed to continuing education, she stays current with the latest research and trends in dermatology.
Elizabeth values the opportunity to serve patients of all ages and treat a wide range of skin conditions. While she enjoys all aspects of dermatology-including medical, cosmetic, and surgical-she has a special interest in treating acne, rosacea, hair loss, and aesthetic medicine. She is experienced in performing skin cancer screenings, surgical removal of common skin growths, and acne scarring treatments. Above all, Elizabeth enjoys partnering with her patients to develop individualized treatment plans that meet their goals. She is passionate about educating her patients and helping them achieve optimal skin health from both medical and wellness perspectives.
