Elizabeth Warden, RD

Elizabeth Warden, RD

Dietitian
MI
Elizabeth's personal journey into learning nutrition started as a child who was diagnosed with ARFID (avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder). Through overcoming ARFID as an adult through education by getting a bachelor's degree in psychology, and then continuing to get her master's in nutrition and dietetics, Elizabeth has a strong empathy towards people struggling with expanding their diet, introducing new foods, and changing nutrition habits. During her first year in college Elizabeth also adopted a plant-based lifestyle through which she continues to this day. Going from eating less than ten foods to becoming someone who lives a plant-based lifestyle full of variety and has broken free from the confines of a restrictive diet, Elizabeth has personal experience in habit changing, overcoming routine, and fostering a healthier relationship with food overtime. Elizabeth's training in psychology as well as Medical Nutrition Therapy can assist clients with a variety of issues surrounding nutrition (picky eating, ARFID, eating disorders, weight management, vegan/vegetarian diet transitions, food allergies, personal identity and food conflicts). Elizabeth is also very passionate about creating a safe space for clients to express personal identity and cultural values. As a personal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, Elizabeth has up-to-date information regarding transgender healthcare and a vested interest in fostering a safe medical space for all patients. Elizabeth believes that food is often an integral part to our identity, emotional regulatory system, and cultural background. Additionally, Elizabeth believes that our relationship to food is a journey that all people have with many twists and turns along the way. A license is not required for this provider to see patients. This provider holds a Registered Dietitian certification with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
