About Dr. Elizabeth Youngewirth
Finding a well-qualified and compassionate doctor can sometimes be a chore, but if foot ailments are the problem, it's easy. Just call Dr. Elizabeth Youngewirth, DPM.
Dr. Youngewirth has built a thriving practice by providing excellent foot and ankle care to patients from the Inwood-Washington Heights sections of Manhattan, NY, as well as in the Rockland County area. She is on staff at St. Luke’s Roosevelt and Nyack Hospitals.
Dr. Youngewirth specializes in diabetic foot care and treats a variety of foot conditions. She has had intensive training in foot surgery and treats foot fractures, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, warts, and fungal nails. Her services include high-tech computer gait analysis with orthotic scanning, laser fungal nail treatment, ultrasonic-guided needle injections for heel spurs, sports injuries, and orthotic devices.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Brooklyn College and received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1995 from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her post-graduate training with an internship and residency at Saint Clare’s Hospital (now St. Vincent’s Midtown).
Dr. Youngewirth became a podiatrist because she genuinely wants to help people. She comes across as someone who really listens to her patients with understanding and kindness. She has always believed that surgery is the last option. If there is a way to treat your foot or ankle problem, she will apply the best treatment option for your particular need. The office is at their home and the waiting room and office was dusty and so so outdated . Seen at 2:30 - couldn’t call in prescription until 6:00 - so pharmacy couldn’t fill until next day. not to mention she called in the ointment under my name - instead of my daughter’s z( actual patient) because of this - I’m trying to convince the pharmacist there is something for my daughter z- instead of them telling me she has nothing. It,s a good thing pharmacist thought to loook under my name.
Office is so nasty - who knows if equipment is sterilized.
