Elizah Hollow, MA

Elizah Hollow, MA

Marriage and Family Therapist
3047 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL
“Elizah Hollow” is a pre-licensed provider working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. My path to becoming a therapist is grounded in a deep curiosity about the many ways we bring our authenticity into our relationships with others. I know firsthand how destabilizing it feels to be disconnected from yourself, your relationships, or your sense of agency, and how much clarity and relief can come from finally being seen and understood. I made the switch from corporate work to therapy because I genuinely love helping fellow humans navigate the most important parts of their lives, especially the parts that are hardest to talk about. Becoming a therapist means stepping into a role where I get to witness you, challenge you, empower you, stay curious about you, and sit with you in any topic you bring into the room, no matter how vulnerable or unfamiliar it feels to say out loud.

Getting to know Elizah Hollow

“Elizah Hollow” is a pre-licensed provider working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. My path to becoming a therapist is grounded in a deep curiosity about the many ways we bring our authenticity into our relationships with others. I know firsthand how destabilizing it feels to be disconnected from yourself, your relationships, or your sense of agency, and how much clarity and relief can come from finally being seen and understood. I made the switch from corporate work to therapy because I genuinely love helping fellow humans navigate the most important parts of their lives, especially the parts that are hardest to talk about. What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with couples, individuals, and diverse relationship structures, including non-monogamy. You may be navigating relationships, sexuality, desire, or identity in ways that fall outside “traditional” approaches and are seeking a therapist who can meet you with clarity and openness rather than confusion or judgment. Whether you’re exploring relationship challenges/transitions, non-monogamy, kink/BDSM, queer identity, sex work, sexual dysfunction/shame, desire discrepancy, out-of-control sexual behavior, or existential concerns, you deserve a therapist who honors complexity and nuance. I am committed to meeting you with attunement, respect, and curiosity, creating a space where your unique identities, experiences, values, and relationships are affirmed. Together, we can explore what is most meaningful to you and work toward greater connection, congruence, and well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I aim to foster a therapeutic relationship where no topic is off-limits and we can explore the most important aspects of your life, together. I embrace humor, creativity, and unconventional perspectives as they support growth and insight. I believe therapy works best when there’s honesty and mutual engagement. I bring both lived experience and formal training to my work often using Bowenian, collaborative, experiential, and existential approaches. I’ll share my observations and encourage you to look more deeply at the patterns, experiences, and dynamics shaping your life and relationships. I also pay close attention to the ways family history, relationships, culture, and broader social systems influence how we understand ourselves and connect with others. My goal is to help you build greater self-awareness, heal your relationships, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, connected, and aligned with you.
