Professional statement

If you find yourself… worried, stressed or depressed, you are not alone. One in four of us feel that way in a given year. There are many reasons. You might be experiencing difficulty at work or perhaps you and your partner disagree about how to deal with your children, your money or your in-laws. It is possible that self-esteem issues interfere with your achievements and relationships. Communications issues are complex. Relationships can be confusing and emotional intimacy hard to find. I would like to help you move forward and live a richer fuller life. I can help you learn what holds you back and what keeps you stuck in sadness or anger. By incorporating the latest psychodynamic and couples therapy methods I work collaboratively with you in an ongoing process to allow you to make the positive changes you desire. You are the expert on your life; I will guide you in your process of improving your life, feeling better and becoming your best self in a safe, warm and welcoming environment, where each patient is treated with dignity, respect and understanding. Working together, and based on my years of experience, I will help you clarify your goals and find unique solutions to your issues.

I’ve now been seeing Dr. Lasky for a few months, and in that time my anxiety and depression has become a great deal more manageable. She continues to help me see and identify unhealthy patterns in my life and I’m verypleased with the insight I’m gaining. Highly recommend her as a therapist.

I was really unhappy after leaving my appointment. She told me that she normally has a phone call with new patients to make sure there is a fit, but did not have time to call me since I made the appointmentthe same day. It would have been courteous to cancel my appointment instead of having me waste my time. She told me to go see somebody else since her location would be too much of a commute for me, which I found odd. Also, she only accepts cash so come prepared. She asked me to leave my bag while I went to the ATM to withdraw cash, which made me feel really uncomfortable. I will happily seek treatment from somebody else, thank you for that advice!

When meeting a new professional for personal counseling one is often apprehensive and filled with anxiety. Upon meeting Dr. Lasky all of my fears were relieved. She has an excellent bedside manner which encouraged me to open up and delveinto the problems for which I was seeking counseling. She has guided me through difficult dilemmas with compassion and caring. I find Dr. Lasky to be insightful and her therapy has fostered less anxiety and hopefulness in my life.
