About Dr. Ellen Sandoval
Ellen grew up in Queens, New York, and received her BA at Barnard College. She earned her MA at The Institute of Human Nutrition at Columbia P&S and her MD from the University of Miami School of Medicine. She returned to New York for her Pediatric Internship and Residency at Schneider Children's Hospital at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Ellen became a Pediatrician and learned to love grits down in rural Arkansas. She then returned to New York to spend five years at a local Hudson Valley health center, where she met Larry Baskind and Mary Ellen Stavitz. She has continued to work with them over the past 15 years (minus a sabbatical to enjoy the teenage years with her two lovely daughters) and is honored to join them and the rest of the awesome staff down in Croton, providing care for children and their families. She enjoys everything else life has to offer with her family and black lab, Violet.

Dr. Larry Baskind: Kids love him - his approach to homeopathic medicine and the fact that he never imposed anything (medicine), he always just advises and suggests.

This group truly cares about their patients and families. In spite of many changes that seem to be affecting other offices, Drs. Sandoval, Baskind and Maryellen Stavitz remain dedicated to ensuring the needs of their patients (and their worried parents) are addressed kindly and patiently.
