Getting to know Dr. Elliot Abramowitz

I have been in practice for over 30 years. I create a warm and caring therapeutic environment that is conducive to doing the work necessary to achieve your goals. I work with individuals between the ages of 16 and 90. My training has been extensive, including a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University, a Master’s in Social Work from Adelphi University, and a Bachelor’s degree from City University of New York, Queens College. This education supports my ability to work successfully with individuals, couples, and families. The approach I use depends on the objectives of the therapy but can include systemic, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral techniques, or a combination of them all. My availability is limited, as can be seen by the openings I have at this time. If you are frustrated with previous therapies or therapists that did not deliver what you were looking for, I am confident you will not be disappointed.
