About Elliot Backer
Elliot Backer, PA-C, CAQ-Derm is a nationally certified Dermatology PA with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Dermatology—an advanced credential earned through over 4,000 hours of dermatology practice, successful completion of a specialty exam administered by the NCCPA, and formal attestation by a board-certified dermatologist.
Since beginning his dermatology career in 2018, Elliot has focused on the detection, prevention, and treatment of skin cancer as well as general dermatology. He performs comprehensive full-body skin exams and in-office procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and surgical excisions of atypical moles and skin cancers. Following PA school, Elliot spent four years training closely with a Mohs surgeon, honing his skills in procedural dermatology and deepening his commitment to surgical skin cancer management.
He takes pride in building strong, long-term relationships with his patients and is committed to practicing the most current, evidence-based dermatologic care.
Originally from New Ulm, Minnesota, Elliot has deep family roots in the Twin Cities and throughout the state. He now lives in Plymouth with his wife and daughter. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active in the community, and participating in local social events.

We hit an appointment the next day we called . Office person st desk to two minutes very pleasant my appointment was for 1120 and got in immediately. I've been going to Elliot for a couple years and have always been really well taken care of by both the office staff, him, and those assisting him (at both Edina and Plymouth locations). I always feel comfortable, listened to, and accommodated, and never felt judged or embarrassed for whatever brought me in. Causes and treatment options are always really well communicated to me and I've never left an appt feeling like my questions weren't well answered.
