Getting to know Elvira Silva-De Vera
Hi there, I'm Elvira.
Do you feel overwhelmed or like your mind is going at 100 miles an hour? Do you feel like you're lacking joy? Are you unsure about starting medication or feel your current medication regimen isn’t working? Life is a rollercoaster with times of joy and sadness. I am a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, with a Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of North Florida. My primary concern is to help you find and maintain your balance.
My approach is holistic—I care about the mind, body, and spirit, which I often refer to as the three hearts of the person. You deserve a safe space to discuss your concerns, and I’m here to provide that and help you heal. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, or other challenges, the first step to self-care is reaching out for help. I’ll be here waiting to meet you with compassion, offering years of experience as a nurse practitioner and nursing mental health professor, using evidence-based techniques.

What should a new client know about working with you?
I work collaboratively with my clients to develop personalized treatment plans taking the "3 hearts" into consideration. I believe that empowering you to become active participants in your own healing journey is key to achieving long-term success. Together we plan and take a step-by-step approach. As we work together, my goal is to help you build resilience, self-awareness, and develop the mechanisms/tools you need to navigate life.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits
