My work centers on individuals whose conditions do not respond to conventional care—those with overlapping psychiatric and medical symptoms, hormone-related or neurological contributors, paradoxical medication responses, or diagnostic histories marked by uncertainty or conflicting opinions. I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), completed my Psychiatry residency at Indiana University School of Medicine, and pursued a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Washington School of Medicine. The foundation of my work at Frontier is a two-step diagnostic process designed to reduce bias, maximize diagnostic clarity, and ensure the patient’s voice remains central. In the first appointment, I meet with the patient without reviewing prior records, unless specifically requested. This helps me understand the patient’s experience directly and without anchoring to prior interpretations. In the second appointment, I integrate outside records and collateral information into a working diagnostic framework, which I present back to the patient in accessible, detailed language. The goal is to arrive at a shared understanding—one that the patient can see themselves in. When done well, this process feels more like a discussion between two specialists than a traditional top-down evaluation. Treatment planning at Frontier follows a similarly collaborative structure. I outline non-medication strategies, lifestyle changes, medication options, and long-term trajectories—including what to watch for even if treatment is deferred. Some patients make decisions quickly, while others return with more questions. Either approach is supported. My goal is to provide comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to each individual's unique needs.
