I think Dr Lawendy was a great pediatrician, however, I'm not sure I would recommend him for a teenage girl. I don't feel that he was in tune to some of the female health issues. I would definitely recommend him for anyone else though!

He’s very straight to the point and short. This is what’s wrong, This is how we fix it. Bye. There’s definitely more time spent waiting than being seen, but he fixes the problem with ease.

The reason for the bad rating was because the visit was terrible...when entering the room Dr. Lawendy claimed that my daughter had a sports physical two days ago. I said that wasn't true. He looked at me confused, as if I was lying. I explained that she did have a sports physical but it wasn't 2 days ago, it was more like a year ago. He seemed puzzled. I thought that he had the wrong chart, wrong room. He accepted what I said and move on. He started with the exam & pushed down on my daughter face & other parts (cheeks,forehead,stomach) and didn't warn her on what he was going to do before hand, which surprised her- making it very painful, & uncomfortable. After all of that, he asked if she was allergic to any meds & i said yes, amoxicillin (it should be on the chart). he made a look like he didn't like that. Then said that he was going to prescribe her that for antibiotics. I asked him if he could not because of the side affects. He left the room and next thing we knew his assist came in with the discharge papers. He seemed unprepared, confused, & not very professional. We usually get seen by Dr. Juarez, but she wasn't available. We wont be schd'ing with him again. We'll go somewhere else if Dr. Juarez isn't available.

I was in and out in less than an hour and he saw and treated both of my boys. Straight to the point, and asked my permission before giving them lollipops. I think I found my new PCP.

Dr. Lawendy is one of a kind. He makes you feel like you are the only patient and takes the best care of your children. He is so detailed with treatments for our sons and immediately helped prevent serious illnesses. Our children will now have to leave the pediatric area for the adult physicians and this is certainly not easy for us. It is great having a doctor that really knows your children and family. You would think he knew us all our life time. It's easy, Dr. Lawendy is an awesome physician and it will be a challenge to find another physician to fill his shoes. Thank you,

It depends on the day that you go. I waited for about an hour after check in, but the receptionist was very accomodating. She made sure we would be seen soon, and we were. Dr lewwndy is a no nonsense dr. Very direct and to the point. I don't mind at all because I'd rather be told the direct truth.
