About Dr. Emanuel Sergi
Emanuel Sergi, DPM, is a podiatric surgeon who specializes in the functional and cosmetic treatment of a wide range of foot conditions. After completing his undergraduate work at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Sergi earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating from medical school in June 2004, Dr. Sergi completed a two year primary podiatric medical and surgical residency at NYU Downtown Hospital. During his residency, Dr. Sergi trained extensively in the treatment of diabetic wounds at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. Upon the completion of his residency, he spent two years training and perfecting cosmetic foot surgery techniques.
Dr. Sergi is dedicated to remaining on the forefront of the latest advances in surgical techniques. He is the sole developer and practitioner of Slimline Bunion Surgery, an innovative approach to bunion removal that provides patients with optimal functional and cosmetic post-surgical outcomes.
In addition to his private practices located in Manhattan, New York City, and Brooklyn, Dr. Sergi is currently an attending at NYU Downtown Hospital and Gramercy Park Surgical Center. He is an extremely caring doctor who strives to develop a good rapport with his patients.

Dr. Sergi was very transparent and thorough in helping me understand potential treatment options for my neuroma. He took the time to describe the science behind certain treatment methods, explaining which would be helpful and why others might not be as effective. Dr Sergi is professional MD with an exemplary knowledge of podiatry. I trusted him for foot surgery which involved an osteochondroma that spread throughout my left foot. He was able to clean out the entire foot from tendon to tendon. He post op care was excellent.

If you want to know about any condition you may have regarding foot and ankle pain, Dr. Sergi is THE one to see.
I was thoroughly advised regarding my condition and he fully explained the results of x-rays that were taken. Very pleased with this visit.

Dr. Sergi is a really great doctor, I would highly reccomend him. He took the time to discuss my broken toe and answered all of my questions. He definitely is very knowledgeable, and he checked everything out to make sure no stone was left unturned. The thing I liked most about Dr. Sergi is that you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients, and he didn't rush like so many doctors in the city. A lot of times, I have had bad experiences with doctors here almost becoming annoyed when you ask questions. He takes the time to listen, and that's very important. Go see him for any foot problems, you will not be disapppointed!

I've had a great experience with Dr. Sergi. I've visited him multiple times as he has continued to help me with my foot condition. Dr Sergi was patient, helpful, knowledgable, and flexible. He took his time and answered all my questions, despite the fact that I think our appointment was only for a half hour (took ~45 mins). We discussed the pros and cons of a potential procedure, and he even gave me pointers regarding what to look out for in getting a second opinion. I left with a photocopy of my X-rays, and have already booked a follow-up appointment with him. The only area for improvement would have been for the personal info from zocdoc (insurance info, address, etc) to have been automatically added to their systems. Other than that, Dr Sergi seemed too good to be true!

Dr. Sergi is great. Very friendly, knowledgable, honest and helpful doctor. It is obvious that he truly cares about his patients and will do everything he can to take care of you and make you feel comfortable. I have and will continue to recommend him to my family and friends.

I wish they'd called me in advance to tell me my insurance doesn't cover my visit - I made the appt weeks ago and would have found another doc or at least be mentally prepared.
BUT was super nice about it and had answers and solutions to my problems and I left feeling better know what was going on and why - albeit also feeling super broke.
