Getting to know Emem Ibanga

A healthy mental state is essential at every stage of life-from childhood and adolescence to adulthood. Throughout a lifetime, an individual can experience mental health issues at any point. Not only can this impact their mood and behavior, but it can also change their way of thinking, outlook on life, and ability to face challenges. As a Board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience treating patients with a wide range of conditions, including PTSD, major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and ADHD, I meet each individual where they are in their life stage and use my expertise in psychiatry to guide them toward a healthy mental state. I earned my bachelor's degree at Towson University in 2001 and my master's degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Walden University in 2019. I have worked in residential, community, and acute care settings with children, adolescents, and adults. I have enjoyed the flexibility and autonomy that my advanced education provides. I am a member of the Phi Nu Chapter of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, and the American Nurses Association. In my free time, I enjoy nature and spending time with my family. I currently serve adolescent and adult populations on an outpatient basis.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
