Dietitian
345 W Washington Ave, Ste 313, Madison, WI
Emmy Bright MS, RDN, CD, LDN Owner of Real Good Nutrition I’m a Registered, Licensed, and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor specializing in Medical Nutrition Therapy and Intuitive Eating. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, I offer virtual services. I’m so happy you’re here! Read on to get to know me better. Like you, I once asked, "What's a dietitian and how can one help me?" This came after I was diagnosed with Celiac disease at 19 while a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My lack of nutritional knowledge, combined with a love of cheese curds, cheap late-night pizza, and Miller Lite (understood by fellow Badgers), led to serious health scares and a strained relationship with food. Seeking care from a Registered Dietitian (reluctantly) helped me manage my diet and regain my health. This sparked my passion for supporting others facing nutrition battles. Helping patients find relief from health issues—some I know well—without straining their relationship with food is deeply personal. Being a patient before becoming a dietitian allows me to connect with you on a more personal level. After earning my Bachelor’s in Dietetics from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and my Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Rosalind Franklin University, I gained 13 years of healthcare experience, including 10 in dietetics. I realized the typical inpatient approach to nutrition therapy often lacked individualization, authenticity, and true preventative care. Believing nutrition therapy needs to be personal, I left my scrubs behind to connect with patients more meaningfully. I’ll work with you to find real-life approaches to help you realize your health goals—whatever that means for you.
