Emily Brown, BA, MS

Nutritionist
MD
I’m a Licensed Certified Nutrition Specialist who helps adults make sense of ongoing health concerns that haven’t improved with generic nutrition advice. I work with clients experiencing digestive issues, fatigue, blood sugar and metabolic concerns, autoimmune conditions, hormonal changes, and challenges with weight management. Many of my clients come to me after trying different diets, supplements, or wellness strategies and still feeling unsure about what their body needs. My approach is personalized, practical, and collaborative. We look at the bigger picture—your symptoms, health history, eating patterns, lifestyle, medications and supplements, and lab results when available—to identify meaningful patterns and determine what makes sense for you. Before becoming a nutrition clinician, I spent years as a journalist, including covering health, science, pharmaceuticals, and medical research. That background still shapes how I practice: I ask questions, look closely at the evidence, and help clients make sense of complicated or sometimes conflicting health information. I hold a master’s degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine and am a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS). My clinical interests include digestive and gut health, Hashimoto’s and autoimmune conditions, perimenopause and menopause, fatigue and stress, insulin resistance and prediabetes, PCOS, and sustainable weight management. Our work isn’t about perfection or following another restrictive plan. My goal is to help you understand what may be influencing how you feel and develop realistic next steps that fit your life. I want you to leave our sessions understanding not only what you can do next, but why it matters. For clients paying out of pocket, the initial 90-minute nutrition assessment is $297 and 60-minute follow-ups are $179.
