Emily Carle, APRN, RN

Family Nurse Practitioner
19 Northbrook Dr, Falmouth, ME
Imagine a physical where you take a hike or in the busy of your Saturday being met at your child’s baseball game or checking in over a cup of coffee… as if you are meeting with a friend. That’s what health care should be; a trusted authentic relationship partnering provider and patient to attend to your life and health goals. My goal is to increase access to healthcare through trusted relationships, empowering you to live your best version of you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually and offering the convenience to meet you at the heart of where you are. I provide care through coaching and not lecturing but offering you lifestyle medicine, motivational interviewing and prevention and management of acute and chronic illness to help you blossom in your every day. When I was a little girl, I never said I wanted to be a nurse or a general practitioner, but everything in our life happens for a reason. I grew up in hospitals and doctor’s offices next to family members who were fighting disease. I observed medicine at a young age and wanted nothing to do with it. I traveled after high school earning my bachelor’s degree in international studies and communication- studying anthropology to better understand who we are and later combined this with earning my graduate certificate in public health. I served on medical missions-providing rural healthcare and volunteering with EMS and search and rescue. I returned to school for my Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Southern Maine and worked as an ER nurse, forensic nurse and nursing instructor. My passion for trauma informed care arose from the privilege of caring for victims of trauma and watching their transformation during care to survivor and their resilience to move forward. I returned to school for my master’s in nursing and desire to be a primary care provider; to partner with patients not just during their trauma but as survivors and to encourage each to blossom in their life.
