Getting to know Dr. Emily Derouin

I specialize in helping folks struggling with eating disorders or their relationship to their bodies. Maybe your body has changed in how it feels or how it looks, and you are struggling to feel at home in your skin. If you are ready to connect to your body without punishing it, you've come to the right place. I hold a PsyD and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, and a Bachelor’s degree from St. Norbert College. I do not accept insurance but can provide you with a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I operate from an size-inclusive, anti-diet, fat liberation perspective. You will not be asked to control or manipulate your body here. I am a fierce advocate for your and the wisdom you have inside of you about what your body needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Sessions are virtual and last 50 minutes. After you book I will do my best to reach out to you within 24 hours to chat on the phone to make sure I am a fit for your needs prior to our appointment. I also send all documents prior to the first appointment and they must be complete by the appointment time.
