About Emily Downing-Moore
Emily Downing-Moore, CNM, brings 25 years of experience to her practice. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Linfield University School of Nursing in 1998 and completed her Master's in Nurse Midwifery at the University of Texas at El Paso/Texas Tech-El Paso in 2000. Before moving to Lane County in 2005, Emily served in various locations including Texas, the US Virgin Islands, and Wisconsin. Outside of work, you can find Emily working in her yard and spending time with her busy family.

My experience with Emily was just what I was looking for, she took time to listen to my story and after talking I felt very informed about my options for how to best proceed. She’s kind, gentle, open and easy to talk to. I 100% recommend her to anyone looking for women’s care. The office is beautiful and impeccable.

The Doctor I saw was so understanding and caring of my fears and concerns. I had avoided going to the GYN for over 10 years due to loss of a child and she listened and empathized and really took the extra time for me to be comfortable. Highly Recommend McKenzie River Gynecology, they have it together!

I met Emily when I was 16 and pregnant at a midwifery clinic. I am now 35. I saw her for 4 of my 5 pregnancies. I’m so glad she opened her own practice and I get to continue my care with her. She is someone who truly listens, cares, and knows what she’s doing. ??

Emily has been my female health provider since 2006. She delivered my last child - and has not only been a steady and trusted professional, but my friend. It is so important to feel trust - Emily’s bedside manner and timing are perfectly in sync. She listens and while she’s listening, she’s reading how you need her help.
Talking about anything related to our reproductive health is not always easy - Emily makes it so. She has seen me from child bearing age to pre-menopause and has helped me make really important decisions regarding my health.
She is trauma informed.
Can’t sing enough praises. Truly.

Emily is amazing! She is down to earth and so friendly. I have felt seen and respected by her. She went above and beyond to get me what I needed. I was also able to be scheduled very quickly and was seen quickly upon arrival at the clinic.

I had an ongoing urgent need and she went above and beyond to support me and get urgent referrals sent, communicate efficiently about results, and check in on me outside of my appointments. Emily is a wonderfully compassionate and intelligent woman whom I am always recommending to others. Emily has always been very attentive to my needs, easy to get ahold of, and very flexible with my schedule to ensure I receive the quality care that I need.
