Marriage and Family Therapist
8430 West Lake Mead Blvd, Ste 100, Las Vegas, NV
As a compassionate and enthusiastic Marriage & Family Therapist, I work with diverse demographics, focusing on child development, parent-child relationships, adolescents, women, and the LGBTQIA+ communities. Working with families with children of all ages, one primary goal is to bridge the gap of "you just don’t understand" by fostering open communication, mutual empathy, and understanding between family members. I utilize play therapy and art therapy as key modalities, helping young clients express themselves and process emotions in a safe, creative space. My work centers on creating safe, trusting environments where clients feel empowered to explore feelings, address communication difficulties, and resolve behavioral concerns. With a deep understanding of human development, I collaborate with families to navigate complex dynamics, promote emotional regulation, and foster healthier relationships. Reflecting on my own developmental journey, I recognize the impact that strong, nurturing, empowering women had on helping me find my way personally and professionally. Working with women of all ages has become a primary passion—whether young adults starting their own lives or adult women seeking to rediscover themselves in ways that elicit genuine happiness. I bring humor, flexibility, genuineness, and openness to every session, understanding each client is unique. Humor breaks down barriers, making difficult conversations easier and encouraging connection. I remain flexible, tailoring therapy to each family’s specific needs and dynamics while maintaining an open-minded attitude toward all perspectives. My goal is to empower families to work through challenges in a supportive, non-judgmental environment, fostering emotional resilience, healthier relationships, and deeper understanding. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a mental health professional who has personally experienced the process & benefits of therapy myself, one of my top priorities as a clinician is to make sure my clients know that they are seen, heard, valid and my space, be it in person or telehealth, is a safe space. I withhold judgement for each individual's process & experience, aim to be flexible to each process & experience of my client's healing journey, & am not afraid to step outside the box to uncover unique methods & interventions to help my clients achieve their desired goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Due to the therapeutic relationship being one of the most important factors in successful treatment, I take my time truly getting to know my clients to gain a better understanding of how to much effectively help them throughout treatment. We will begin by building rapport, getting to know one another through a variety of assessment questions. I believe in a less structured assessment process to learn more about clients, therefore typically my first couple of sessions are being a listener to the stories & experiences that have shaped you and brought to me. As sessions progress I am open to spending our time together in ways you feel will most benefit you each time. I am also happy to take the lead & direct us to and through conversations about recognized maladaptive thought & behavior patterns leading you to make the changes to experience life in its most fulfilling capacity.
