I am a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I attended college in Oklahoma, originally starting as a Computer Information Systems major before pivoting to nursing, having experienced firsthand the impact that timely and quality care can have on a person.
In 2016, I completed a Master?s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, earning my PMHNP certification. I diagnose and treat a variety of psychiatric conditions, including but not limited to ADD/ADHD, depression, binge eating disorder, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, dementia, substance use disorders, psychosis, bipolar disorder, impulse control disorders, schizophrenia, and other mental health conditions across the lifespan.
I offer psychotherapy and comprehensive medication management that is individualized to meet each patient?s needs. I also provide education to help patients make better lifestyle choices. I currently see patients aged 10 and up, utilizing both telepsychiatry (online) and in-person (office) visits for psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My experience in healthcare spans many years and various health systems – North Houston Psychiatry, Memorial Hermann, Methodist Hospital, Kindred Hospital, OakBend Medical Center, Miami Valley Hospital and University Hospital. I work closely with patients to help them meet their healthcare goals. In doing so, I offer a compassionate care, unconditional support, and include them in the care process while utilizing evidence-based treatment guidelines.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I offer flexible office hours to meet my patient's health needs. The first (Initial) appointment usually takes about 60 minutes and the follow up visits are usually 30 minutes long. Diagnosis are derived from the clinical interview, which addresses the patients's subjective experience, symptoms and observed behaviors. I also utilize different health questionnaires during the course of the interview to help me understand the detailed needs or concerns of my patients.
My plan is to help my patients reach their desired healthcare goals.
I offer supportive therapy by providing emotional support and encouragement to my patients, to help them improve their self esteem, alleviate symptoms and cope better with their life challenges.

Emmanuel is very thorough and efficient at my appointments. He always makes sure to ask how I'm doing in general as well as confirm that I'm not experiencing any new side effects or symptoms and is super understanding and helpful. I've been going to him for more than 3 years and I definitely feel like he's made the process of treating my mental health so much simpler than it used to be. He responds to online messages quickly if needed and makes sure I'm getting the care I need.
